Awash Bank has conducted the 2022/23 fiscal year semi-annual management meeting on January 26, 2023 at Ethiopian Skylight Hotel. Mr. Tsehay Shiferaw, Chief Executive Officer of the bank, in his opening speech, addressed the overall performance of the bank to the participants and as per the report, the bank has registered a remarkable performance in all parameters during the last six months of the budget year as per the plan. On top of this, Recognition and encouragement awards were given to the branches and regions that have achieved outstanding results in the past six months. As the way forward, directions have also been set to continue the strong performance and to improve the gaps to achieve higher performance in the future. Lastly, the board of directors has urged the management to work smart not hard to meet the new aspiration: To be one of the top 3 East African Banks by 2027 and top 10 African Banks by 2030.
